Several years ago I became interested in the hobby of groundhopping, a product of my lifelong interests in urban exploring, design, sports, and architecture.
Searching the internet I found that there are very few sites and/or blogs dedicated to smaller stadiums and arenas in the Carolinas and decided to make one after a friend from Twitter (@BlueAnWhiteArmy) made one for western Canada.
This blog will explore lesser known (and occasionally some more well-known) sports venues and various buildings throughout North and South Carolina, though due to my location and the escalating cost of fuel many of the places featured will be based in and around the city of Charlotte.
